This Week's Theme: "Up In Smoke"Chilled Spring Pea Soup Onions, leeks, golden potatoes, vegetable stock, mint and lots of peas make for a slightly sweet and wonderfully refreshing soup. Makes a lovely starter or just have soup, salad and some hearty whole-grain bread for a healthy and light meal $12 per quart (Serves 2-4) Home-Grown Arugula Salad Organic arugula from the garden with fresh lemon and extra-virgin olive oil dressing and shaved Grana Padana cheese (like Reggiano Parmigania) $7 per portion Smokey Chicken and Potato Salad Home-grown mixed lettuces freshly picked from the garden with diced tomatoes, crunchy snap peas, sauteed golden potatoes and mushrooms with a sliced smokey chicken breast. This is an entree salad $15 per portion Smokey Baby Back Ribs Chipotle and black pepper dry rubbed baby back ribs smoked slowly over California red oak, then braised in a spicy, sharp tomato based BBQ sauce. You'll love 'em! Comes with all the 'fixin's' below. $22 per portion 'Melt In Your Mouth' Smokey Brisket of Beef Black pepper rubbed brisket of beef, slowly smoked, then braised in our spicy-sharp BBQ sauce until it melts in your mouth Comes with all the 'fixin's' below. $16 per portion Smokey Alaskan Kings Con Pesto Wild salmon is back and we are pretty happy. Citrus and black pepper marinated wild Alaskan king salmon with sautéed polenta rounds, sautéed garlic home-grown spinach and spreadable pine nut pesto. This dish is inspired from a dish that Eric Debonis of The Paris restaurant fame used to make at the Olive Barrel. We've changed it slightly and we are looking forward to it this Saturday night for dinner :-) $22 per portion Ice Creams And Sorbets Here is a list of available home-made ice cream and sorbet flavors. Ice creams are made with milk, cream, eggs to make Creme Anglaise before freezing. They have a higher fat content and a smooth texture. Sorbets have no dairy and no fat. They have a less silky texture but have nice, tangy and refreshing flavors. Use them in other desserts or in blended drinks. Yummy.
