Menu For The Week of May 28th

This Week's Theme: "Light Summer Fare"
Pomo2Go Gazpacho with Chipotle Yogurt Swirl and Toasted Almonds A slightly different variation of the classic Gazpacho soup. Onions, roasted peppers, cucumbers are briefly cooked in vegetable stock, then puréed and chilled for the base of the soup. More diced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion and toasted almonds are sprinkled over the top of each bowl when served and then a spoonful of chipotle flavored low-fat yogurt tops off the mix. $12 per quart (Serves 2-4) Brian's Favorite Salad A bold statement and not really true, but definitely ONE of my favorite salad combinations (plus, I didn't know what else to call it?). Fresh mozzarella, diced tomatoes, crispy-roast potatoes, Kalamata olives and toasted pine nuts with garden greens in a caper-scented vinaigrette $8 per portion Add julienne of smokey pork $6
Add spicy Thai shrimp $7
Add sliced Thai-basil chicken $5
Add smokey Copper River Sockeye salmon $18
Romano Cheese Gnocchi Pomodoro Russet potato, Italian parsley and Romano cheese gnocchi in a garlic and olive oil scented fresh tomato sauce with a spoon of fresh oregano scented ricotta cheese. Simple and sublime. Sprinkle some freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese over these babies and enjoy! $13 per portion Scallopini of Chicken with Sausage and Peppers Thinly sliced breast of chicken with a sauce of our homemade hot Italian sausage with slowly stewed onions and peppers in our marinara sauce. Served with house veggies and a side of ziti marinara. $17 per portion Santa Maria BBQ Most meat in Santa Maria, CA is slowly smoked over California red oak and the smell and taste is intoxicating. We marinate, then slowly smoke tri-tip of beef, then slice it and serve it with rice pilaf, pinto beans, fresh tomato salsa and large pieces of garlic bread. A very tasty take on steak and a great example of the best of American regional food $18 per portion Smokey Sockeye Salmon Pomo2Go Beautiful wild Copper River Sockeye salmon lightly smoked over California red oak and served with grilled parsley and romano polenta, eggplant caviar and basil scented tomato sauce. The salmon is beautiful this time of year and this is one of our favorite preparations. Served with house veggies. $26 per portion Ice Creams And Sorbets Here is a list of available home-made ice cream and sorbet flavors. Ice creams are made with milk, cream, eggs to make Creme Anglaise before freezing. They have a higher fat content and a smooth texture. Sorbets have no dairy and no fat. They have a less silky texture but have nice, tangy and refreshing flavors. Use them in other desserts or in blended drinks. Yummy.

Light Summer Fare
As the weather heats up, we will be lightening up the food and, frankly, we are very fond of entree salads. This is a good time for you to make the salad and we can provide the protein or garnish. Look for more proteins off the grill or emerging from the smoker.
