This Week's Theme: "Cinco de Mayo"Sopa De Albondigas Onions, carrots, celery root, garlic, zucchini, rice and tomatoes with ground beef meatballs flavored with cumin poached in the broth. Served with shredded cabbage and tortilla strips. This is soup as an entree! $13 per quart (Serves 2-4) Spinach and Orange Salad Organic spinach with toasted almonds, sliced jicama and orange segments with a little red onion in a cinnamon-citrus vinaigrette $7 per portion Banana Leaf Wrapped Cheese and Roasted Chile Tamales I usually try to make the vegetarian item 'vegan' but these tamales DO contain cheese. Cueso fresco, corn, sauteed onions and chile strips make up these rich and tasty tamales. Served with tomatillo salsa and the fixin's listed below $14 per portion Smoked Chicken Enchiladas Marinated breast of chicken slowly smoked and mixed with our Ranchero sauce, cilantro, cheese, and roasted potatoes. Then baked in the oven until warm in the center and the cheese has melted. You are going to love this dish! Served with the fixin's below $14 per portion Slow Roasted Chile Verde Pork Garlic, thyme, marjoram, onions and lots of fresh roasted anahiem chilies slowly roasted with smoky pork and served with a side of the fixin's below $16 per portion Hearty Beef Chile Colorado Braised beef, potatoes, garlic, roasted chilies and onion in a tomato and ancho chile broth topped with a table sauce of chile verde. This earthy dish is great with a side of the fixin's below (included) $17 per portion Sautéed Red Snapper Veracruz I make this dish a little lighter than some versions with very light tomato and fish broth seasoned with garlic, onion, chilies, green olives, capers, oregano and parsley. Delicious served alone or wrapped up in some corn tortillas with rice and beans. The fixin's are included with this dish $22 per portion Tres Leches Cake with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream A moist and tender pound cake soaked in vanilla sauce and served with a sweet and caramel-like flavored ice cream. This delicious cake hardly needs the ice cream but we thought the ice cream was just the ticket to keep you from wearing your bathing suit for a few more weeks.
